Weinstein’s defense lawyer Donna Rotunno contends that her client committed sins, not crimes. But it’s for the jury to decide if he’s legally entitled to his sins.

Jessica Mann is questioned by prosecutor Joan Illuzzi-Orbon. (Courtroom sketch by Jane Rosenberg )

In the coming days, a jury of five women and seven men will deliver a verdict in the case against Harvey Weinstein, in what is being widely considered the first legal test of the #MeToo movement. Of the 90+ women who made accusations against Mr. Weinstein, only two accusers’ claims are being tried in Manhattan’s criminal court. Miriam Haleyi, a former production assistant, alleges that Mr. Weinstein forced oral sex on her in…

Too chic to fail.

Thanks to Rosamund Pike’s delectably chill, meticulously coiffed performance in Netflix’s I Care a Lot, being morally bankrupt has never looked more chic. Comparisons are being made to Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations against Brett Kavanaugh in 2018, with Republicans crying hypocrisy and Democrats saying there’s no comparison. …

I was as relieved as anyone when Tiger King came out on Netflix. An eccentric zoo keeper goes to prison for murder for hire? An opportunity to cringe at something other than the federal government’s gross mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic? Count me in!

At first, I thought: Wow, this bat-shit crazy, tiger breeding, gay polygamist who still finds time to star in his own country music videos is really, TRULY, living his best life. I even felt a pang…

If you can’t bring yourself to watch Netflix’s hot new reality matchmaking show, don’t worry. I’ve recreated that experience for you. Now sit down with a face-sized glass of wine and drink it up!

Love is Blind begins with hot singles arriving, looking hopefully out the windows of cars, most of whom you will never see again.
